Memoirs: Party Monster

Party Monster is a 2003 movie based on the novel
Disco Bloodbath
the personal memoirs of  James St. James
published in 1999

This movie follows the true story of Make-up, Music, and Murder. Starring Macaulay Culkin as Michael Alig, Club promoter and convicted murderer. Playing opposite Macaulay Culkin, is Seth Green as James St. James. With an amazing supporting cast including: Marilyn Manson, Dylan Mcdermott, and Wilmer Valderrama just to name a few. A great throwback soundtrack and with costumes that really honour the roots of our story. The scenes in the movie we're shot in such a way, it entrances the mind like a drug.

Moving to New York City in the Early 80's with no friends must have been hard. But working the room at clubs is a great way to make friends. When Michael Alig, meets James St. James, fire meets gasoline. Expressive outfits, killer parties, soon turns into Drug binges, and Tv appearances.
Things take a turn too far, the drugs start to change the minds of everyone involved. As the drugs and the costumes become more extravagant, so do the parties and the fame.
Life starts to slip away with responsibility, and all that remains is the party and the drugs. Everything starts going down hill, some try to flee for their lives, while others are just too invested to let go, and everyone else are just so deep they can't dig themselves out.
What starts as a story of two friends against the world, quickly descends into loneliness and eventually murder.

A story too real to be fiction, but so off the wall you will wish it was. Party monster is the movie to show you that the "party all the time" lifestyle, while looking like all glitz and glamour will take a toll on your life and take you where the best party is, but not where the best you might be.
